The band are having a couple of chilled out weeks while people are taking various holidays. However, some of us got together earlier this week to go and see the excellent Standing in the Shadows of Motown at The Other Cinema, Rupert Street London. It's a superb documentary about the Funk Brothers, who were the wizards behind the Motown sound, and it weaves in a number of performances from a recent reunion of the surviving members of this influential but little-known group.

Expect some of that influence to show on our next gig at the Spice on 5 September!

Well, that went pretty smoothly. Two sets of groove and a bonus set during the interval from a couple of flamenco guitarists Will knows (cos variety is the spice of life....). It's a great little venue and we're looking forward to our next appearance there on 5 September.
