Kofi Boafo

Kofi is the one you'll probably see around but won't hear all that much. The behind-the-scenes man, keeping the blood warm and the heart beating. He says, "I ain't Quincy Jones but if you want a taste of some of that rare, live, honey-drippin' soul, then don't worry - I've already searched this city and it's all here now. Don't think you can't love the 'jones."

Katrina Buttigieg

Originally from Melbourne, Australia, Katrina has enjoyed singing for as long as she can remember. Katrina completed a Batchelor of Music + Teaching degree at Melbourne University, majoring in voice. She has performed in a variety of ensembles ranging from classical, jazz music and music theatre.

Will Davies - Keys:

Will took violin at age 6, piano at 11, viola at 12 and has always sung. His dad taught him about music while he was growing up. He went to St. Johns College School when he was 9 and embarked on a tour round the world.

He got into playing jazz at 15, learning from David Rees-Williams and Mark Gasser, and has since played mainly with Jazz trios and quartets around London and the South East. One of his coolest experiences was playing with world class bassist Simon Fell, pianist Jason Rebello, drummer Jeremy Stacey (of Robbie Williams fame), and saxist Tim Garland among others.

He's done studio stuff and arranged and composed music for big bands, small groups and vocalists.

Lovesjones is Will's first regular soul-jazz gig, although he played with an Afro-Cuban joint for a while. It's all about the 'jones now so keep tuned in!

Rob Eckford - Sax:

Rob is the newest addition to the 'jones. He's a friendly guy but plays a mean horn!

Waleed Gomaa - Guitar

Originally hailing from Egypt, Waleed brings tales of mystic cities and a land of many wonders... Actually, he joined Lovesjones after moving to London from America last year. He has over 11 years experience, and brings you the smooth sounds of soul through the strings of his Les Paul guitar.

Bradford Gross - Drums:

Bradford Gross was born in Hartford, Conneticut, USA on November 18th, 1972, which was a Saturday. The dude eats drums for breakfast and loves London. After realising there isn't, and never will be a happenin' music scene in New England, he moved to sunny Key West, Florida. He gigged with every kind of band available - Jazz, Funk, Ska, R&B, Calypso, Rock, Blues and had a 4 year stint with a 23 piece Swing band.

After about 10 years he figured, he'd had the whole farm and moved to London 8 months ago. Trippin over Kofi's Lovesjones ad by accident was by fate but was supposed to be!

He likes Italian food, sushi and turtleneck sweaters. He's a scorpio, married 8 years and prefer showers to baths. He's a neat freak, likes candy as opposed to sweets and knows the difference between a crisp, chip and fry. He digs disco, but not in frisco, and does a mean funky chicken.

He uses a Yamaha Hip Gig on the job - All Zildjian A+K's and likes Evans Heads. Lovesjones is a lovely band, made up of lovely people playing lovely music. Do check 'em out. Yea!

Wulf Forrester-Barker - Bassist:

Wulf began playing bass while still at school. Early opportunities included a rock covers group and a jazz / show tunes stage band. After finishing university he did extensive work within the field of contemporary church music while continuing to develop chops and sensibilities in a range of styles.

Wulf's 'weapon of choice' is a six string Sei bass, played through a compact Ashdown rig. Playing with the 'jones gives all those extra high and low notes a chance to be heard. Read more about Wulf at his own website: http://www.web-den.org.uk/bassist/

Deanne Naula - Vocals:

Dee's been singing in the back since she was a wee child including (if you can believe it) chamber choirs! At university there was no choir, so she had to go it alone. Her natural outgoing nature (show-off) got her through. When she returned to London she still had the singing bug, which led to her being found by the 'jones
