It's been a while since there's been any news to report, although the band will soon be shopping round for some summer gigs, once the professional copies of our demo CD come in. If you're looking for some soul / funk love for a venue near you, check out our contact page.

It's also time for me to announce that I'm stepping down as bassist for the band. No juicy story or "musical differences" - just a question of time management (I'm still regularly playing out with The Elusive Teeth). Lovesjones gigs tend to be a little louder and later than I prefer, hence my choice. However, it's a great band for a bassist and I've learnt a lot during my tenure.

If you've got bass in your blood, funk in your fingers and some time in your diary, contact the band to let them know you're available!

Wellcome to the Lovesjones experience! Our gig with Fourthwall on Friday evening, in the Wellcome wing at the Science Museum, went very well in the end despite a lot of teething problems setting up the gear on the available power supplies. I guess music really is magic, since it started to go smoothly once we got the groove going! Here's a shout to the museum crowd!

We're doing another joint gig with FourthWall at The Phoenix, Cavendish Square. It will be similar to last time except this time admission is only £4 (because we know you'll have been spending all your pennies on Christmas). FourthWall are on at 8pm and the 'Jones at 9pm.

Last night's gig was fun! Both bands played two sets each and there were smiles (and funky dance steps) all round from the crowd. It's a great venue and we're looking forward to a repeat gig on 15 December.
