Sunday evening at the Z-Bar has been called off by the venue. It's a shame, as we're on top form (I've got the recording of last night to prove it), but it saves us a trek across town for just a couple of songs.

Watch this space for more information about future events (although, judging on our experience so far, it might be worth calling the number on the contact page before travelling...)

We came, we saw, and we did the gig! There were a few problems with the PA system at the venue but we still managed to put on the show and were well received - we also somehow managed to stay on stage for the best part of an hour and do twice the number of songs we'd originally expected, so we had our share of silver linings.

Next gig - Sunday evening at the Z-Bar.

Two gigs coming up:

1. Showcase at Bar Lorca's 'Urban Flava' night on Thursday 12 December. The 'jones are due on at 10pm to do a short set. The location is Bar Lorca, 261 Brixton Road, London - watch out for the £5 cover charge but if you come along, we'd love to meet you.

2. Short spot at an acoustic night hosted by the Z-Bar in Brixton on Sunday 15 December. This will just be two or three songs done with a variety of stripped down line-ups.

New plans are afoot. Hopefully (and, in the light of our experiences so far, I hesitate to put it more strongly than that), we'll be doing a short showcase (about four tunes) at Bar Lorca in Brixton as part of their regular 'Urban Flava' night. That should be Thursday 12 December.

I don't think they do Christmas parties on this regular night, so watch this space for more details!

Bad news... yet another debut gig has been cancelled due to the venue preferring to book a Christmas party instead of honouring their agreement to. I appreciate they've got bills to pay, but where are the venues that want to support and promote live music (if that's you, drop us a line!)?
