Jazz After Dark, Summer 2003

Lovesjones graced the stage of Jazz After Dark on Friday 30 and Saturday 31 May 2003. Each of the singersgot a set to themselves both nights and, feeding on the atmosphere of this intimate little club, the band got to cooking up a whole range of flavours from straight ahead swing to southern fried funk.

We also got invited back on Friday 13 June - lucky for those who came along. We were Will and Deanne due to other commitments but filled the gap with pro-bassist and loop-meister, Steve Lawson, who providing some supporting sounds for the second set and then finished the evening with a range of his solo material (see Steve's website for sound files demonstrating what he does).

Among the audience, we had Ken from New York, who emailed us to say:

"I had a great time last Saturday - you guys are great.... thanks for the good time. Keep up the good work. I feel inspired to pick my guitar and start playing again."
