Storytelling |
A handful of Brent's completed short stories. More will be added when he gets around to finishing them!
- Brothers
- A short tale about the closeness of sibling bonds, and the unexpected repurcussions of a seemingly selfless act of sacrifice.
- The Old Man and the Hunter's Moon
- Inspired by an old West Country folk tale, this tells of a memorable night spent in a wayside inn, and the dangers of accepting a wager when the true cost to the loser can only be guessed at.
- Fall Guy
- In a considerably lighter vein, the story of Kudos the mighty hero and his efforts to save the town of Bleach from destruction is written in the same irreverent style as Brent's unpublished full-length novel, 'The
Dragon Who Couldn't Be Trusted'.
- A Self-Made Man
- A short near-future tale about ruthless ambition, in which a man who has everything but still wants more finds that even unlimited amounts of money can't buy everything.
