My Pothole
I've claimed my very own pothole, which I cycle past on the way to work, on the CTC's hazard reporting site. This is a brilliant idea - cyclists (who are in a good position to notice such things and also at most danger from them) can report any they notice, which are in turn passed onto the appropriate highway authority. The authority gets an early warning system but is also then accountable for providing a fix.
I hope that my pothole won't be there long; I'm looking forward to seeing my road patch. Over to you, Oxfordshire County Council!
