Blythe Hill Festival

Well done to the organisers of the Blythe Hill Festival, which Jane and I visited yesterday afternoon. They had a whole range of different stuff going on, including some excellent music and the morris dancing I mentioned yesterday. There were some minor things that they could perhaps think through a little more (for example, the morris men's music got drowned out from only a short distance away by the main stage; perhaps they could have performed during the overlong changeovers between acts?) but, all in all, it was a great event.

Personally, I preferred it to the much larger scale of People's Day (coming up on 12 July); perhaps sometime in future, the council could switch to a rolling, co-ordinated programme of supporting festivals across all the parks that grace Lewisham's landscape?
