Last Wednesday I mentioned that I was considering making changes to the comment system on this blog. Having done a bit more research, I decided that I liked the look of IntenseDebate.

However, attempts to include it have not been entirely successful. By inserting their javascript snippet I can get a comment box appearing on the most recent post (although apparently no mechanism for commenting on other entries) but trying to view an individual entry (the "permanent link" at the end of each post) puts the browser into a never ending loop of page reloading.

A bit more work is needed, probably via discussion on the intensedebate website; meanwhile, the Flickr mashup stands.
