Wine Review - Durius Tempranillo
Next in my wine series is a Spanish red:
Durius Tempranillo 2003, Arribes del Duero
18 October 2007 by Wulf Forrester-Barker
ReviewRating: /5
This wine is a world apart from the others I have drunk recently - even the other red, the chianti I enjoyed a couple of weeks ago, was thin compared to the dark richness found in this more mature Spanish tempranillo.
Rolling it round the glass, the liquid had strong "legs". Savouring the taste, the strongest flavour I could identify was blackberry. I would describe it as robust, almost tending towards dry and rough. However, it holds back from becoming coarse and so I am content to mark this bucolic red as a hearty, hale and wholesome drink.

For reference, here is the review given by Majestic:
Sweet cherry and strawberry aromas, vanilla notes, rich depths of fruits and soft velvety tannins won't overpower your roast.
