Mini Deep to Deep

On Saturday 17 May, four christian bassists - myself, Benjamin Ellis, Mike Smith, and Matthew Wilson, gathered at Matthew's church for an experimental 'Mini Deep to Deep'. Our brief was to take a selection of worship songs and arrange them for 'bass quartet', capturing some recordings as evidence (using a minidisc recorder - due to mic placement, the balance is not always ideal and some passages have come out a bit distorted).
The songs we looked at are below - I've picked a couple of the best examples and made them available in MP3 and streaming Real Audio formats:

I'm the singing voice on them but that's low enough in the mix to be relatively unobtrusive!
All these arrangements were created on the day. One possible extension of the project would be to work up some arrangements based on what was played and repeat the experiment playing from charts. This might be a little less spontaneous but would probably produce a tighter end result.
